Subject: Once a tradition...
Today this film has been reduced to fodder for the likes of Mystery Science Theater 3000, but at one time (1970s) it was shown on UHF stations around or even on, Christmas day. This was true in my area. The Washington D.C./Baltimore area. Its a cute little movie for kids and I think that children do enjoy it and are oblivious to it's budgetary shortcomings. I remember enjoying this fantasy as a child of about seven or 8 and even talking about it with classmates after Christmas vacation was over. It's not a Rankin/Bass special like Rudolf or Frosty but it is still a lot of childish fun.
